Continuing our initiative commenced over 3 years ago, The KA recently offered a pop-up restaurant night at the famous and highly rated Three Blue Ducks restaurant in Rosebery.
A packed house of 95 guests enjoyed a world class dining experience at one of Sydney’s most popular eateries.
The canapés of tempura eggplant and chicken skewers were scrumptious.
The following entree of seared tuna, heirloom tomatoes, and green olive tapenade, sweet potato hummus, charred onions served with home made flat bread, perhaps even surpassed the canapés.
The main course of slow roasted lamb shoulder & charred herb salsa was to die for. The accompaniments of wood roasted pumpkin, crispy potatoes in garlic, oil and rosemary complimented the lamb perfectly. Harrisa, toasted almonds and pomegranate were the perfect addition. The main was accompanied by a gem lettuce salad, peas, squash, green goddess and pangrattato.
Then came dessert of coconut custard, roasted rhubarb, honey macadamias and lemon verbena. The perfect ending. A wonderful selection of quality kosher wines was also available.
A huge thank you and yishar ko,ach to owner and chef, Andy Allen who handled the whole kosher thing like an old hand. Three Blue Ducks has been an extraordinarily successful enterprise, and prides itself on sourcing local and ethically farmed produce.
Judging by the lack of leftovers, the guests were more than pleased with the fare provided on the night, and we are sure that any future Three Blue Ducks pop-ups will need to provide more than one sitting.
Thank you also to all who supported The KA on the night, and yishar ko’ach to the entire KA team for facilitating the night.
